Microsoft to teach 1 million Portuguese

Microsoft has signed a partnership with the Portuguese government with the goal of teaching IT skills to some one million people by 2010. This project was unveiled by Jean-Phillipe Cortois in the opening ceremony of the Government Leaders Forum, in Lisbon. The partnership was announced in sequence to Microsoft’s plan to help create 20 million new jobs around the world. Bill Gates also reminded the significance in developing a relationship between the public and the private sector. Some of Microsoft’s partners in this initiative include Cisco and Randstad.
