Portugal moves on after brutal game against the Netherlands

Today's game between Portugal and the Netherlands is sure to make it to the history books. The action pack 90 minutes offered non stop soccer entertainment which included an amazing 4 red and 19 yellow cards. The match between Portugal and the Netherlands got of to a violent start when in the first two minutes Mark van Bommel was booked for a foul on Cristiano Ronaldo. The game ended with Portugal winning 1-0 after midfielder Maniche scored the only goal in the 23rd minute.

The Russian Referee Ivanov sent off Portugal's Costinha and Deco and Dutchmen Khlaid Boulahrouz and Giovanni van Bronckhorst, while eight other players were booked with yellow cards.

Portugal moves on to the Quarter finals to face England in Gelsenkirchen on Saturday.
