Presidential Elections


Sunday 22 of January voters in Portugal go to the polls to elect their new president. Latest figures show that the candidate Cavaco Silva will win without a need for a second round. The latest statistics show Cavaco Silva 52% (PSD), Mario Soares 18% (PS), Manuel Alegre 16,5%, Jerónimo de Sousa 6,9 (CDU) and Francisco Louçâ 6,1 (BE).
