Portuguese loose quality of life

Numbers released from a study conducted by the insurance firm AXA classified the Portuguese as “a population not motivated about work ".
The study reveals that 50 percent of the people that are now retired stopped working before the age established by law and more than two thirds did this ate their own will. The same study confirmed that the population still active expects to retire at the age 58. In comparison to the12 countries also included in this study, the Portuguese are the ones that less prepare for their retirement and consequently also the ones that receive the lowest pensions. For this reason after leaving work the majority of Portuguese loses quality of life and end up regretting having retired before the age of 65 years.
