Portuguese go online

The Portuguese surfed more during 2005 compared to that in the previous year. According to the study Netpanel from Marktest, the amount of time that the Portuguese dedicated to go online increased 24,5 percent. The Data was gathered by Netpanel from 2002 to 2005 and showed little variation in the number of Portuguese Internet users that during the year connected to the Internet from home, although there was a small decrease of 0,4 percent in 2005 compared to the previous year. In 2005 the number of pages visited by Portuguese “web surfers” increased 34 percent compared to 2004. The time spent online registered a growth of 88 percent in comparison to 2002.
